Flu Shots and Zone Conferences

Yes we are here on a Mission and this is us with our Mission President and Wife. President and Sister Hymas.

One of our first assignments here in the Mission field is to get the Missionaries their flu shots. Here we are at the Mission Leadership Council with the Missionaries waiting for their flu shots. This was the first of four groups getting their shots

Sister Bartlett was able to attend the “Just for Women” with Sister Hymas and several of the Sisters from the office along with some other Sisters.

Happy Thanksgiving? Yes it was Thanksgiving Day in Canada last week. Sister Doig, the Mission Secretary and Sister Weckesser in the back are both from Canada so they invited Sister Bartlett and some of the other Sisters over for Thanksgiving dinner.

Zone Conferences were all last week so we will just show a bunch of pictures from the Zone Conferences with very little commentary.

We are now seeing some colors in the trees, autumn is definitely in the air.

After one of our Zone Conferences we took an opportunity to go to Apple Hill where they grow a lot of apples and other fruit.

They also had a lot of pumpkins in the pumpkin patch.

They also had some really old jalopies. We were referring to the car on the right.

On our preparation day between attending baptisms, we visited Old Town Sacramento. I met one of my old cowboy buddies while we were there.

The Old Town is on the American River and for some reason they had a very yellow bridge.

This Police officer patrols on horseback.

The bear on the right is completely made of legos supposedly to represent the bear on the flag of the State of California.

I am not sure what this oddly colored dog was supposed to represent.

We finished up our preparation day by attending the baptism of this young Marshallese teenager. What a great ending to a great day, and a new beginning for this young lady. This brings great joy into our hearts to see the changes that come to peoples lives through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Love, Elder and Sister Bartlett
